We recently had a customer based in Essex who needed a very urgent job.
To deliver one case of specialist tools from Colchester to the North Sea Rigs, located 100 miles offshore of Aberdeen. The Specialist tools were needed immediately by the onsite engineer for an urgent repair.
We took the call from our customer at 2pm, and the toolbox needed to be delivered by 5am the following morning to meet a helicopter to fly out the North Sea Oil Rigs.
We had a van to collect the goods within 30 minutes. Our driver had a 546-mile journey to make, which took him just over 12 hours driving; he arrived on site at 2.30am!
Yikes! Significant situation averted, and one delighted customer!
